A few words about me
I’ve often been asked by others: Why did I become a therapist? What motivated or attracted me to embark on this long and intensely challenging professional journey? Throughout my lifetime, both personal and professional experiences contributed to my choice of practicing psychotherapy and specializing in group, couples, and family therapy.
Like many others, I have experienced and witnessed distressing events that have impacted my family and myself. At the same time, in my own journey to become a therapist I experienced pain but also hope; I experienced anxiety but also inner peace; eventually, I developed a unique relationship with my true self, and also I found meaning and purpose in suffering - providing me with an opportunity for self-growth and self-actualization.
My personal journey to psychology started in my late 20s when I started my personal individual psychotherapy to get new insights on how to know myself better and relate to others so that my relationships become a source of joy. I continued with group therapy and at the same time, I started my training as a group, couples, and family therapist in a psychodynamic approach. Before I landed in psychology and psychotherapy, I embarked on an educational journey which consisted of studies in electrical and computer engineering. Being a certified mental counselor, psychotherapist and an official member of the Institute of Group Analytic & Family Psychotherapy, I have worked the last ten years with individuals, couples and groups to support them understand each other better and to build more fulfilling, and intimate relationships.
