Divorce Support Group

Divorce Recovery Programme

The transformational 6-module programme for Divorce Recovery

Yes, I want to join the waiting list for the next Divorce Support Group
Divorce and Breakup from a long-term relationship is one of the most stressful events that can happen to a human being.

I know how it feels:
  • Confused
  • Scared
  • Angry
  • Lonely
  • Rejected
  • Hurt
  • Frustrated
  • Relieved
  • Guilty
  • Excited
  • Hopeless
  • Embarrassed
  • Desperate
  • Sad
  • Stressed
And many more feelings and emotions...

In our culture we rush to put a lid on emotions and the natural process that needs to happen to move forward successfully and freely.
But you can't skip emotional steps.
Just burying the feelings will not help us to learn from our experience, live authentically, or move forward with real freedom.

And even if you are done with the legal part of the divorce, the emotional divorce will take its time to be resolved. Healing takes time, but it's worth it.

I know the struggle...

Every divorce is different and yet every divorce is similar in a way.
What is different? The challenges that each person who is going through the divorce is facing:
  • How to deal with ambivalence
  • How to deal with the emotional rollercoaster
  • How to navigate the "friend zone"
  • How to help the kids process it
  • How to deal with the loneliness
  • How to set boundaries
  • How to arrange the amount of contact or go no-contact
  • How to deal with the regrets, the guilt and all the other negative thoughts
  • How to protect your mental health
  • How to re-invent your identity
  • Howto move on and let go
  • How to trust again

And yet every divorce is the same. The pain is the same. This excruciating pain of loneliness and chaos around us.

Not dealing with the divorce means...

👉projecting all the unprocessed feelings to others
👉being triggered and getting defensive
👉getting stuck in fear, shame and hurt
👉sabotaging new relationships
👉getting attracted by unavailable partners
👉distrusting other people
👉accumulating pain and trauma
👉mental and physical health deteriorating
👉feeling more lonely than before
👉giving up
"Besides sharing happiness,
sharing grief is also a beautiful thing"

About the programme & the meetings

Divorce Support Programme
Through this program, you will have access to a 6-module curriculum that will guide you through the processing of your divorce. Each module has been designed and enriched with all the important aspects of each divorce stage.
The main aim is that you will be supported in order to cope, to recover as well as to rebuild your new life after the divorce.

If you
additionally opt for the Support Group, you will have access to our bi-monthly meetings.
In the group we help each other navigate the emotional roller coaster we all experience while going through this difficult time in our lives with the support and guidance of our psychologist Vassia Sarantopoulou.

At our meetings we provide POSITIVE support in a NON-JUDGMENTAL setting where each member has a chance to discuss the evening's topic or any issue that is relevant to his/her situation.

DO NOT FORGET: While divorce is an end of a marriage, it also provides the opportunity for starting over and rebuilding the life you want.

Bring only your concerns, questions, open minds and warm hearts!

Testimonials

Picture
"I've recently joined a new Divorce Support Group. I didn't know what to expect but each time I have been, I've noticed that there is a healing 'energy' in the room. People share their stories and situations in a safe way. It's a small intimate group, it feels good to have a window to share with others travelling a similarly difficult journey. Vassia who facilitates holds the group in a very talented way. She gives home exercises that are really causing me to be brave and deepen the process of acceptance."
(M., 38)

"Vassia is a skillful, caring, empathetic and assertive counselor.
With her energy and her endless will to help, the support group exceeded our expectations.
I never skipped a meeting and in there I found some friends for life.
Thank you!"

"When you are in the middle of a divorce, you are in the middle of chaos. I was so overwhelmed by my feelings, thoughts and all the million things that I had to do, that I was on the verge of crushing.

When I joined the group, I finally found peace. I could put my thoughts into order and I could make sense of my feelings.
The group offered me such comfort and connection, I am so grateful!"
(E. 42)

Will it help me if I join the Divorce Support Group?

Divorce Support Group
It is proved that people that have participated in our Divorce Support Group for a few months have felt more in peace with the (painful) process of the breakup or the divorce, less lonely, more connected with others and belonging to a group, and they have admitted that they are strong and ready to move on without any emotional leftovers (anger, sorrow, regret, rejection) or burden from the previous relationship.

They also reported that their next relationship was different: lighter, joyful, more trusting, loving and caring.
Even during the periods that they were single, they still enjoyed their time alone and they felt so confident as they have never been before.
