A few words about me
I provide an empathic, non-judgemental space where you can open up and feel seen and heard for who you truly are. Our therapeutic sessions will be tailored to meet your unique needs, based on a safe and strong therapeutic alliance. We will work collaboratively and I can help you live more fully, drawing from your internal resources and abilities. My therapeutic practice is based primarily on Cognitive – Behavioural Therapy, Third Wave Approaches and Schema Therapy. Depending on the individual’s needs I also use other psychological interventions from different schools of psychotherapy. Rather than delve into the past, the CBT approach looks at the here and now, exploring the human condition as a whole and what it means for an individual.
I have gained extensive experience in various settings including NHS Primary Care, Employee Assistance Programmes, as well as charitable and private agencies. I have worked with individuals dealing with various presentations such as Obsessive- Compulsive Disorder, Specific Phobias, Psychosomatic Disorders, long- term health conditions, Trauma, Low Self-Esteem, Work-Related Stress and Career development issues. Furthermore, I had the chance to complete my PhD at the University of Surrey in Heath Psychology while working at the university as a Teaching Associate.
In brief some of my personal characteristics are: + Dedicated + Optimistic + Respectful + Diligent + Mission-driven
I’m here to remind you that vulnerability is not a weakness. It needs courage and strength to admit and accept your vulnerabilities.
