A few words about me

I am a Colombian psychologist that came to The Netherlands to fulfill my dream of becoming a therapist. As an ex-pat, I am aware of the unique difficulties of living abroad. I love helping people overcome their struggles and grow from the experience. 

Often our problems are based on how we think, so that’s why I enjoy employing the CBT approach. I also like to explore strengths and what is going well. This is why I enjoy employing positive psychology and mindfulness. Mindfulness not only can help you become less anxious, sleep better or manage stress, but it can also open up your eyes to a different way of relating to your environment and bring long-lasting change.

Humans have the innate need to relate to others, but sometimes we can fall into unhealthy patterns or lack the tools to connect to others. Loneliness can be a scary experience. At AntiLoneliness we can help you enjoy your own company, learn how to relate to others, and achieve positive relationships that are fulfilling to you and those around you. 

Finally, I am a night owl who has always struggled to achieve a healthy night’s rest and wake up early. Through my personal struggles with sleep and my training, I have finally learned how to regulate my sleep (albeit there are always hiccups along the way). I want to share what I have learned and help those that are in the same position as I was. We are organizing a group coaching session that will help you obtain a relaxing night's rest. We will use mindfulness and many therapeutic techniques to work together towards a healthier rest. Soon we will announce when will the group sessions take place. 

Humans are complex beings, and nothing in life is black-and-white. And as wonderfully complex creatures, we could all use a little help. And what a better way than seeking support from people that have studied how to help others better?
