About

Things feel less certain than they used to. Many of us feel overwhelmed, anxious, isolated, lonely, and depressed. We feel lost. At the heart of our mental and emotional struggles we usually find a sense of separation - disconnection from others, ourselves, our environment, and our deeper nature. We experience pain and shame for feeling disconnected. I want to help you accept these times for what they are, and show you that you do not face them alone.

I too have faced much in life: Childhood and adult traumas, and many great uncertainties. Over the years I have changed homes, continents, careers, philosophies and worldviews. Life took me on a long journey of seeking deep within myself - a journey that led me from visual and sonic communication work, to environmental and humanitarian aid, to counseling and support for others trying to make sense of their own journeys. Life continues to teach me.

I take a Person-Centered approach to counseling, walking with my clients to help them discover what they already carry within themselves - their own inner wisdom. I also make use of various tools and techniques learned on my therapeutic journey. What does life want to teach us?

I offer a space of safety where together we can move through the mental and emotional distress of disconnection - loneliness, grief, depression, anxiety, panic, trauma, existential crisis, neuroses - back into connection and relationship with ourselves, others, and life. I do not believe we have to be fixed or improved - we do not have to be ashamed of who we are.

When we learn to accept our journey, we start to discover our unique paths and contributions.I strive to be simple, sincere and honest, and to listen to you - no matter who you are or what you are facing. If, like so many others right now, you feel stuck, confused or afraid - feeling there must be more to life than struggling - my door is always open to you.
