- A 2022 survey of 15,000 workers across 15 countries by McKinsey Health found that a quarter of employees experienced burnout symptoms.
- 76% of respondents in a Mental Health America and FlexJobs study agreed that workplace stress affects their mental health, and 75% experienced burnout.
Burnout it here.
It's happening all the time.
You hear about it all around you.
Your friends. Your colleagues. Your partner. You.
If everybody keeps mentioning the word "burnout" very often the last few months, it's because there is a "mental wave" of people suffering from burnout or are at risk of having one very soon.
The numbers are growing and millions of people are seeking support in order to recover or protect themselves from going through a burnout.

How many of them do you see in yourself?...
I know burnout.
I myself have been on the verge of one and I know exactly what led me there.
I have worked with hundreds of people that have been through a burnout.
I have been invited by international companies and organisations in order to support their employees through burnout.
I have been the guest speaker for colleges and universities to talk about burnout in students, PhD candidates and academic staff.
I know burnout.
I know how emotionally and mentally drained it leaves you.
I know how it feels like giving up and having no hope, joy or meaning.
I know how scared you feel of the possibility that it will happen to you again (Research shows a strong connection between burnout and PTSD).
I know how much you miss the old "you" that enjoyed life in that light and carefree way.
And I am here to help you not only recover from burnout,
but also
build resilience and prevent it from happening in your life again.

What is Burnout?
According to ICD-10, "Burnout is a syndrome conceptualized as resulting from chronic workplace stress that has not been successfully managed".
However, things have changed.
Burnout is the result of a builtup of stress not only related to work, but also any type of life stress (relationship, parenting, transition).
That's why we need to talk about Burnout.
We need to understand that it can be prevented.
In order to do that, we need to find the cause and to work with it.
We need to understand what are the cognitive, emotional and behavioral elements who lead to a burnout.
Once we know them, we can armor ourselves not only against burnout but against any other mental health challenge.

How can a burnout affect our brain?
#1: It enlarges your amygdala - the part of your brain that controls emotions and emotional reactions.
Hence, your mood is affected and you feel sad, depressed, hopeless, numb, empty.
#2: The part of the brain that controls memory and attention is weakened. Therefore, you can't concentrate and you keep forgetting, to a degree which is new and strange to you.
#3: Burnout makes your prefrontal cortex thinner: this is the center of decision-making and information-processing. Your solving-problem skills get weaker, as a result.

Does this sound familiar?
Does this sound familiar?
There are two ways that we can go about it:
#1
Wait until our workplace changes the way they manage their business and their teams
Wait until our colleagues are not displaying dysfunctional interpersonal behaviors
Wait until the workload is less and more manageable
Wait until our job is more fun and less boring or monotonous
Wait until people around us understand that we are struggling and start supporting us
Wait until another job opportunity comes and change job
OR
#2
Focus on what it is that WE can do and change in order to protect our mental health and our boundaries.
That's why you're here: because you're taking the control of your life.
You are not waiting any more for things to happen.
YOU MAKE THEM HAPPEN.
(Trust me, I have seen many people changing jobs because of burnout, only to go through their next burnout a couple of months later in the new job)
The REAL solution is not outside, but inside us.

Here's a couple of questions I often hear about Burnout:
- How can I recognise the early signs of a burnout?
- What if I have another burnout?
- Why do I procrastinate so much and I feel "frozen"?
- How do I stop self-sabotage?
- What shall I do to recover faster?
THAT'S WHY I HAVE CREATED THIS 6-WEEK PROGRAMME.
