Online therapy, online counseling

Online Counseling: Counseling and therapy wherever you are

"I've discovered that meeting online is just as helpful for clients as meeting in my office.
It's not the physical space, but the emotional space that connects the client and their therapist"
Vassia Sarantopoulou, Counselor - Psychologist - Founder of AntiLoneliness

Working with a counselor online will never replace traditional, face-to-face therapy relationships. Online therapy is another way of caring, one that can reach people who are not getting any other help.

Does online counseling help people?
Yes.
Over 90% of the people who work with a counselor or therapist online say that it helped them.*
Online counseling is a viable alternative source of help when traditional counseling is not accessible. Many people cannot, or will not, go to a therapist's office. For them, counseling or psychotherapy is not accessible.

What keeps people from getting help from the traditional way of therapy?
  • A person may be too embarrassed, or too uncomfortable to make an appointment with a counselor.
  • A person may live in a remote area, far from any counselor's office.
  • Scheduling, money, physical challenge, conflicting relationships, or misconceptions keep people from seeking help.

If this describes you, online counseling may be a place to start.

For individuals or for groups?

Online counseling can be offered for:
  • Individuals
  • Couples
  • Support Groups
  • Therapy Groups

Why online counseling/ therapy?

  • It's professional: You connect with a licenced professional in a safe and private online environment. Anything you share is confidential.
  • It's convenient: No waiting rooms, traveling to an office or leaving work.
  • It's effective: Major studies show online therapy is just as effective as face-to-face therapy.*
  • It's private: There’s no chance of running into anyone in the waiting room.
  • It's affordable: Less financially demanding comparing to individual counseling/ therapy (save on travel and childcare expenses).
