A few words about me
Since I remember myself, I have had a deep interest in understanding human beings, how they relate to others, what is the origin of emotions and behaviors. So, becoming a psychotherapist was not a surprise to me.
Being also curious about myself, 15 years ago I started my therapy to be able to have enough ego strength and humility to receive feedback, get the courage to not always know the answer and become a person who is not always looking for validation from others. In a perfect way? No, and it’s ok as here and now I know that happiness in life means to accept your own and other’s vulnerability and permit yourself to be and feel good enough.
What else did I discover and learn during my studies and psychotherapeutic learning path? Therapy, while beneficial, is not magic. It is not always fast, and change is progressive. It provides patience, empathy, kindness and a sense of freedom to create your own path of self-acceptance and self-forgiveness.
We each have a self, but were we born with one? Each of us is given a name, we are told all kinds of things about who we are, and these details, opinions and ideas become facts, which go towards building ourselves, our identity. And that self becomes the vehicle for navigating our social world. But the self is a projection based on other people's projections. Is this who we really are? Or who we really want to be, or should be? Well, let’s all discover it together!
